Remember my post: Hunting a haunting Halloween on Etsy: artisanal, hand-crafted tricks and treats to order now?

Well, thanks to the generous impulses of some of the Etsy artists I featured in that post, I’m having my first give-away here at The Paranormalist.

On October 1st, THREE different winners will each win ONE of the following prizes:

From Rhonda’s Originals:

PRIZE: One digital download craft project from the Victorian Steampunk Halloween Parade Collection.
Winner will choose ONE from:

Pumpkin Lady & Girl Clown | Vampire Lady  | Witch with Cauldron and Cat

NOTE: Some designs show elements (wire, feathers) that you will need to purchase separately. You may take these downloads to a printing shop, such as Office Max, if your printer isn’t up to the task of color prints on cardstock.

From Rhonda: Win a collage set and I will email you the printouts plus full how-to instructions within 48 hours (usually next morning). Then simply print out in color, cut, assemble, and stain the cardstock character with coffee to make it look like an actual antique! All characters print two sides and stand on their own, so they can be used in the center of your holiday table and enjoyed from all sides. (Instructions to make hanging ornaments also included.) Collect them all!

This is my first give-away, so I’m figuring out how to do this as I go. Please be patient with my fumblings. I’ll get better at this once I have hosted a give-away start to finish.

I found a snazzy widget to help me out, but my beloved wordpress.com will not run it. In order to enter the drawing, please click below to be taken to my (newly reopened and revamped) Blogger page – The Paranormalist Portal.

Once there, you will find that the widget allows you to earn chances (think of them as raffle tickets) by completing simple actions like subscribing to The Paranormalist, registering at Etsy, liking an Etsy artist’s Facebook page, and/or leaving a comment here at the blog. (Comments are closed over at Blogger, so when the rafflecopter widget suggest leaving a comment, mark it completed and come back here to leave your thoughts below.)

Enter The Paranormalist Portal

Good luck to everyone. The deadline for entry is the stroke of midnight on October 1st. I’ll annouce the winners here later that day. (You will also be notified by email if you win.)

Then we’ll figure out how to get the prizes awarded.

Woo hoo! Who doesn’t love a good giveaway? I hope I win!

  2. Juliette says:

    I can’t wait until Halloween!

  3. Yaaaaaay for giveaways!

  4. Okay here’s my legitimate comment for the giveaway. I love this widget! I’m considering moving toward hosting my own blog in a month or two. (Not sure if I’m capable or cool enough for that.) But I’m sure there is so much room and capabilities for giveaways like this on WordPress.org.

    • Now that I’ve worked with Blogger again, I’m happy that I chose wordpress. Eventually I’ll have to give up the free version, but I know it so well I don’t want to switch.

      • Yeah I considered make the gradual shift to .org over my fall break in mid-October… now I’ve realized October is a bad time to possibly crash a blog… 🙂 … so I think I’m going to wait for Spring… but I’m very interested in making that move. I just hope I’m techie enough for it.

Great idea. I’d copy it if I had something to offer beyond pocket lint and sarcasm. Until that day comes, I will content myself by winning all of da stuffs.

  6. Sherry Lykins says:

Great giveaway! My daughter would love the Feed Me Seymour button!! Thanks!

  7. I’d love to try a true absinthe soap. Thujone induced hallucinations are just the boost my morning showers need.

    • Me too, Mitch. I may have to order some for myself.

Have you ever indulged in absinthe? I plan to try it soon – probably in February (Ogre has agreed to make it into a fancy date, so it seem appropriate for Valentine’s) or March. (Apparently Mar. 5th is considered to be National Absinthe Day – because the ban on it was repealed that day.)

  8. Sonya Hay says:

I love getting to be a kid again. I think I would like the soaps, but I will have to buy some buttons here anyway so the soaps definitely.
