I love the original Willard and The sequel Ben – and of course MJ’s loving tribute to a boy and his rat. When I heard that they were doing a remake I was all “NONSENSE!! No one else can play Willard!” And then came Crispin Glover who was amazing. I agree with you – move that one up!
You know, I’ve heard the song on the oldies station a lot and had forgotten the connection between the song and film. I just listened to it again from that angle.
Wonderfully sweet and creepy.
As far as horror remakes go, I’d have to argue that “Let Me In” deserves inclusion.
Oooh. Good one.
And now that you’ve opened that box, I’d have to say that I preferred the American version of The Grudge to the original Japanese.
Never saw the Japanese version, so I can’t compare. But The Grudge was pretty creepy!
